Sagittarius: (Nov. 22—Dec. 21)
Unfortunately for you, the Bible addresses the fact that there is a time to live and a time to die, but it's vague on the subject of zombies.
-and on that note, I am off to Iowa in a few hours- bah humbug.

beds and breakfasts [edit]
I spent this weekend, with IMPACT, at a bed and breakfast in Mansfield. It was wonderful. I have never stayed in a BandB- they had fireplaces everywhere, good movies (although someone stole "The Passion" DVD from the owners- wierd and sad), and a beast of a dog named Haus. His head was as big as a human head and he came up to my waist when standing.
I also had a great time sleding on trash bags. Here's some pics:

You couldn't see the hill I was coming down in these pictures, but it was pretty sweet- free from large rocks and other various debris- a very good thing.
I heard about some great books, but am too tired to talk about them now. I will post later (hopefully).
I just got back from the library and Grounds with Tess and Jole (I am going to spell it that way because that is the way he spelled it on the woman's weekend CD from a few years ago- I was surprised when I found out he REALLY spells it JoEL- weird). It was a pretty good time. Joel chatted online with babes while Tess and I worried about the future and where in the heck we will live. Also we had a run in with the cops. It's okay though. Tess and I are very sorry.
So, I am tempted to check out facebook.com. Pros? Cons?
So, I need a bigger hard drive- suggestions? I am thinking about a portable one (as opposed to a potable one). Tess recommends the rubber-ducky version from urban outfitters:

Well, that's all from me for now. In the spirit of Brian's-longing-for-short -blogs I will not tell you any more details of my life for awhile. I say that because I intend on futher blogging tomorrow, but probably will forget or something silly like that. Geez.
g-night,

The Best TV Show I've Ever Seen:
Extreme Makeover Home Edition- This show is all about a design team that chooses someone who really needs a new home and builds them an outrageously beautiful home. The episodes I have seen are so good. They've helped a family who's parents were both deaf, and they had a blind autistic boy, and another son in high school. They built all kinds of things to help the family out like a lighting system that told them if their son got out of the house, a bunch of toys for the autistic boy to help him develop, and a bunch of other safety features for the house. On top of that, Sears donates a ton of stuff for the people. And they gave the oldest son a scholarship for college. On the show last night they built a family a new house who's house had burnt to the ground. Their father had died 9 years before. They had an old insurance policy that didn't cover building a new house or even tearing down the old house, so they lived in a utility shed for 9 months. This show makes me cry. It's crazy that such situations exist for ppl.
Okay... I am tired of lists now.
On with a post. I have a lot to write about as I haven't written in a long while, so bear with me:)
I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying about what God wants me to do with my life. I have felt like God has been pushing me towards something and away from other things, but I have had no clue to where I was being pushed. I am starting to get an inkling of where it is, but am still unsure.
Anyway... so I've been thinking about joining the Peace Corps after graduation. I know this is a bit crazy- but it is the only time in my life where I think I will be able to do something like this, until I retire anyway. I would be teaching, probably. The PC needs English teachers, which is awesome for me. If I could get in a cool country, I would be happy. Also, I would be able to help others in an out-of-this-country kind of way.
I'm thinking about requesting the Ukraine, South Africa, Georgia, or Kenya. Mike, you'll have to share some info on Kenya. Part of me wants to go to the mud-hut regions, but I do love the internet and I have quite a few airborne allergies and really really pale skin that hates the sun. So I don't know if I am too much a wus to go into the PC. I am just trying to take God's leading, so if you guys could pray and offer up any advice or words of knowledge, that would be marvelous.
Okay... on a lighter note, Napoleon Dynamite is my new all-time favorite funny movie. I loved that movie like no other. I have those crazy ND quotes running through my head all the time and it's wonderful. In fact, Sunday or Monday we are getting together to watch the movie together. Write it in your calendars.
This semester is going to be crazy. I am doing my methods at Delta High School. I just called the school today and the principal sounded like a cool guy. I have a meeting with him and my cooperating teacher on Wednesday. Break out the power-suit and start my professional puberty (as the methods advisor lady so articulately dubbed methods). The bad part about the methods thing is that I have to get to the school early and it is an hour away!! bah humbug to 6 am.
I am taking Brit Lit II in addition to my methods classes. Should be cool.
I'm still mock trialin' it up. We have a trip to Iowa in a couple weeks, then regionals, then nationals (either in KY or FL) if we make it that far. I also have a couple of good IMPACT trips on the way to NYC and Chicago. While in NYC I am going to check out the MOMA!! eh-yeah-eh-yeah-yeah! I may also have an art trip to Vegas coming up... I dunno... we'll see about that one.
Well, I have a floor mtg to go to. I will talk to you all later and for sure this weekend when we get together to sled and watch some Napoleon Dynamite and maybe another movie or two.
Later,
boo
